Huyze De Pauw is a residential care center with a care hotel for senior citizens and assisted living apartments, located in the center of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver. The site consists of a building infrastructure developed and renovated in multiple phases.
Following several years of construction and renovation works, the client wanted to place specific focus on the site’s energy performance, with the aim of reducing both energy consumption and utility costs.
VMA, together with VMANAGER, was appointed as the contractor thanks to its expertise in integrated energy renovations and energy solutions. This approach addresses not only the technical installations, but also the overall building performance and user behavior.
At Huyze De Pauw, we implemented a comprehensive package of energy-saving measures with an energy performance guarantee. These included boiler room renovations, CHP optimization, customized control systems, installation of PV panels, monitoring systems, and analysis of major energy consumers. The result: a total annual CO₂ reduction of 128 tons.
